Dear Mr Bryson
Thank you for your letter of 7 April to the Department concerning
your new initiative for the benefit of the elderly. I have been
asked to reply.
I should like to point out that the provision of good quality
care is at the heart of the Government's community care policy.
One of the aims is to increase the range of choice of services
available to elderly, disabled and other vulnerable people to
enable them to achieve maximum independence and to live as normal
a life as possible with dignity in their own homes or a homely
setting in the community. We are therfore always interested to
hear of services that might contribute to this aim.
I hope this is helpful.
Yours sincerely
O E AKINTUNDE
